Dominion Theatre London 2.00pm

Sandwich to Hythe Branch Weds 12th July 2017 - fully booked

Award-winning musical An American In Paris transports West End audiences to a French capital beautifully adorned with artistic possibility, sweeping romance, and timeless George and Ira Gershwin music and lyrics

Inspired by the Oscar winning MGM film, the musical was acclaimed upon its widely lauded Broadway run, telling the story of Jerry Mulligan, an American GI striving for success as a painter at the cessation of the war.  In a city whose streets are overflowing with joyous hope and sheer potential, a chance encounter with beautiful young dancer Lise leads Jerry on a journey of friendship, love and a sensuous romance of art.

Featuring many of George and Ira Gershwin’s timelessly popular songs and music, including I Got Rhythm, I’ll Build a Stairway to Paradise, The Man I Love, They Can’t Take That Away From Me and ’S Wonderful.

Thrillingly staged by a company of over 50 actors, dancers and musicians, including original cast members Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope, and with direction and choreography by Olivier and Tony Award-winner Christopher Wheeldon, astounding dancing, jaw-dropping spectacle and triumphant songs all combine in a breathtakingly beautiful production - who could want for anything more?
