Lunch and matinee performance of Alan Ayckbourn’s comedy

TEN TIMES TABLE

“The committee from hell organises a fete worse than death”

The Mill at Sonning Restaurant Theatre, Sonning Eye, Reading

The Mill at Sonning is one of our most popular venues and I have once again secured great central block seats for this performance. We aim to arrive in time for a pre lunch drink in the bar [or just enjoy the atmosphere of the old mill] before the delicious 2-course buffet style lunch with tea or coffee, is served in the upstairs restaurant. All food is made fresh on the day and caters to many different appetites.

It will be nice to visit in the summer on this occasion and if the weather is nice and we arrive in good time [always subject to traffic conditions on the day] there may be a chance for a short stroll along the river before lunch.

Alan Ayckbourn’s Ten Times Table is his funniest yet. He proves once again that he is a sheer genius at analysing ordinary people in everyday situations. But Ten Times Table, unlike most of his previous successes, gets away from marital complications and is based on a handful of individuals who form a committee to plan a town pageant. A laugh in almost every line in a brilliantly conceived script by this internationally famous playwright.

The Mill at Sonning is always popular with Theatre Club of Kent members so don’t delay in booking or you will miss out. I am hoping to be able to offer another trip to Sonning in the autumn, but this is not guaranteed.
